We are a Series C-funded logistic technology company that has increased our revenue by 200% year over year, led by a leadership team of logistics veterans and experienced engineers, product leaders and data scientists continuing to disrupt this $800 billion industry. 
Loadsmart is looking for a sharp, energetic Sr. Director of Managed Transportation Operations to join our rapidly growing team. In this role you’ll build and scale a global, fast-paced Customer Services and Operations function while serving as the tactical and operational interface with our customers and our service providers. You will implement and execute our customer solutions and ensure that we are meeting our commitments to our customers and service providers in a cost-effective manner allowing our customers to achieve their financial and operational goals.
REPORTING TO: Robb Porter, EVP of Managed Transportation LOCATION: Chicago preferred; Remote US

What you get to do:

  • Architect an organization infrastructure that allows the Loadsmart team to deliver a consistently excellent experience to all customers
  • Define and implement procedures and policies that enable high-quality service and adherence to strict SLA’s
  • Evaluate and optimize existing workflows and processes to better support customers and improve efficiency
  • Analyze data to identify trends and improve the efficiency of the team
  • Identify and acquire technology solutions and partnerships necessary to achieve goals
  • Create new workflows and processes as our products, services and solutions evolve
  • Identify, report, and measure relevant KPIs
  • Stay ahead of the growth and business direction and ensure that global operations are set up for success
  • Partner closely with the leadership team on strategic planning and related initiatives
  • Deliver upon contract service level agreements, expectations and value proposition

You have experience:

  • Demonstrated P&L experience in a multi-modal, managed transportation services environment
  • Extensive familiarity with the North American multimodal carrier base including FTL, drayage and LTL; parcel and flatbed nice to have
  • Demonstrated program and project management skills
  • Effective and proven cross-functional collaboration that drives results
  • Comfortable creating project roadmaps, scopes, and timelines
  • Focused on driving measurable results or key deliverables within ambitious timelines
  • Experience at a fast-paced, tech or logistics startup undergoing rapid change and growth
  • Excellent track record of successfully partnering with C-level executives
  • 10+ years experience building and running a high performance managed transportation operation
