WorkWave is seeking an ambitious and high-energy Business Development Leader to support our sales team. You will report to the SVP of Sales and work directly with the members of the sales team and other internal departments such as Product Marketing, Social Communications, and the Corporate Marketing teams to create lead generation programs and assist the sales team to execute an on-going schedule of campaigns that generate qualified prospects in targeted geographies and high value industries.  This role will help create high value lead generation activities from email campaigns, social media campaigns, LinkedIn activities, client user Conferences, roundtable events, and innovate new, exciting, and creative methods to generate pipeline for the sales teams.  You will assist the existing Business development team to drive consistency and coordination in the lead generation activities and process. In addition to these creative activities, you will help identify and track sales leads, work with sales reporting, evaluate success, trends, and failures of sales campaigns, assist with sales forecasting, strategies, and tactics thus gaining valuable sales experience. The candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. We are open to remote applicants for this role.


  • Learn about our products, services, and industries
  • Generate new leads through outbound calling, emailing, and following up on marketing campaigns
  • Research and connect with prospects, qualify them, and schedule product demos for the Account Executives
  • Maintain an organized pipeline and activity records using
  • Ensure BDR’s accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity and prospect information in
  • Exceed key performance indicators including outbound activity, number of appointments set, monthly and quarterly opportunities generated, etc.
  • Partner with the Product Marketing, Social Media & Marketing teams team to create campaign content and a full year schedule for all activities

  • Self-starter that is punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Highly organized, persuasive, and good with numbers
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong ability to be flexible and multi-task
  • Masters Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Lead generation activities
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation software experience is a plus
