As a member of our team, you will have a major impact on Zignal’s future success by building and leading a team of in-house BDRs to focus on new and existing client growth. You will also manage the outsourced ADR function. You will also be responsible for building and managing a renewals desk to aid in the retention and growth of Zignal’s existing client base. This role will serve as the hub for Zignal’s commercial and public sector sales teams. With collaboration and support from Sales, Marketing, Strategic Insights, Customer Operations, Finance and the executive team, you will have an opportunity to influence significant revenue growth for Zignal. You will be empowered to build and develop your team, as well as help define, develop and optimize our business development operating model and processes.
What You Get to Do in this Role
The Senior Manager of Business Development builds and leads a team of BDR/ADRs with a primary focus on achieving monthly and quarterly targets. They will set business development focus for the organization. This position will also be responsible for serving as a hub for renewals of Zignal’s existing book of business.

  • Manage, develop and inspire a high-caliber sales team to manage the top of funnel sales motions that support Enterprise Account Executives
  • Drive overall business development strategy for the sales organization against named account strategy targeted towards C-suite/VP individuals
  • Lead team in creating custom approaches using Zignal insight focused on our target companies that serves as door openers
  • Use Zignal’s customer segmentation model to strategically manage existing customer growth plan and communicate progress to execs and board
  • Build and manage a renewals desk function that serves as the hub for all existing business; partner with AEs and CSMs to ensure timely EBRs and renewals
  • Leverage content from product marketing, collaborate with internal stakeholders and advocate for the items needed for your team’s success
  • Define and refine onboarding, playbooks, scripts, roleplaying exercises and account penetration tactics as needed 
  • Manage BDR/ADR SLAs, reports and dashboards to ensure the results they deliver can be easily understood by stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Foster and coach a winning environment defined by accountability, empathy, and continuous learning from both failures and successes
  • The tools you’ll get to work with include: SFDC, Groove, Gong, Terminus, Leadfeeder, Linkedin Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, DocuSend

To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have

  • 4+ years of experience as a successful individual sales contributor 
  • 3+ years of experience leading an inside sales organization in a high-growth company 
  • Prior experience in B2B enterprise software sales
  • Validated track record of consistently exceeding pipeline and revenue targets and effectively run a sales cycle
  • Experience targeting C-suite commercial prospects and surface relevant business insight as part of selling process 
  • Experience developing, managing, and retaining an outstanding team and leading through others
  • Strong collaboration skills across various function areas and ability to multitask at both the strategic and tactical level
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of SFDC, sales enablement tools, sales cadences, message scripting
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills combined high integrity, grit and determination, and a self starter mentality
