Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Segment Marketing,  the Segment Marketing Specialist plays a supportive role in planning, execution and measurement of marketing activities aligned to segment-specific objectives.  The successful candidate will support the Segment Marketing Manager(s) to effectively and efficiently drive the acquisition of new customers (market share) and improve product adoption (share of wallet) within mature and emerging market segments.
The Segment Marketing Specialist will work closely with members of the Sales, Sales Enablement, Customer Success and Marketing teams to ensure internal resources are properly enabled and aligned in executing cross-functional segment plans.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with others to support the execution of segment-specific marketing programs.
  • Maintains segment level personas in collaboration with Product Marketing
  • Responsible for working with others to ensure programs deliver on objectives - on time and within budget.
  • Supports the development of core segment messaging to drive accurate and consistent storytelling across the organization and throughout all marketing programs. 
  • Provide writing and editing support for internal enablement and external communications assets, including: collateral, presentations, brochures, case studies, white papers, web content, videos, newsletters, ads and sales tools.
  • Tracks and reports on segment activity performance.  Provides insights and recommendations to improve results.
  • Assists in market research including working with vendors, building questions and managing deliverables
  • Accountable for gathering customer insights through survey, interviews and analyzing customer portal discussions

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a business/marketing role
  • 3-5 years overall experience in a marketing or communications role within a software or technology company, with preference given to individuals with prior experience in industry / vertical marketing (especially LTPAC)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate cross-functional project tasks from inception through execution
  • Knowledge of general marketing principles and practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills.  An ability to be flexible and excel in a fluid environment
  • Experience with healthcare software and/or project management is a definite asset
  • A “roll up the sleeves” attitude; a self-starting orientation with the intense drive to “make things happen”
