In this remote, individual contributor role, the Senior Solutions Consultant (aka Sales Engineer) will join our growing sales team and be deeply involved in discovery conversations that enable the development of meaningful solutions for prospective clients.  Specifically they will be responsible for addressing prospects’ technical needs & communicating aspects of the Zignal Labs platform that represent the best solution for our clients’ needs. The Senior Solutions Consultant will have the ability to demonstrate insight (i.e. uncovering something the prospect didn’t know) that leads to positive business outcomes through their Zignal demos.

Additionally, the Senior Solutions Consultant will:

  • As a technical lead, play a key role on the broader sales team as they work through the discovery & sales process to deliver solutions for customers
  • Partner with the sales team to identify and qualify revenue opportunities through a formal sales process.
  • Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business and technical requirements, configure client solutions to meet gathered requirements
  • Add value in client facing environments and presentations by facilitating effective technical discovery, demonstrating our platform & showing how our technology solves business challenges
  • Create and enhance standard demonstrations for use by internal team members
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs 
  • Partner with existing customers in delivering compelling Proofs of Concept for new use cases
  • Own pre-sales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration and close; support continued growth opportunities for existing accounts

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience as a technical Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer in an Enterprise SaaS or Analytics environment with a track record of success in securing sales
  • Understanding and/or strong intellectual curiosity around the rapidly evolving media ecosystem, narrative intelligence & analytics 
  • Strong ability to facilitate discovery conversations with business decision makers and technical stakeholders and effectively match pain points and needs with Zignal use cases
  • Dynamic presenter with superior communication skills & experience presenting to C-level executives 
  • Execution-oriented with the ability to deliver on customer needs, develop custom demos, run POCs, drive decisions and convert prospects to customers 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into insight through technical demos and express how this drives positive business outcomes for customers
  • Deep experience in Internet technologies & SaaS configuration 
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational database and API technology
  • Excellent understanding of Boolean logic
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing, startup environment
  • Able to balance great ambition and competitive spirit with a high level integrity and collaboration
