About the RoleScribd is looking for a high performing and strategic individual to lead our Competitive Strategy and Intelligence efforts. This role will have a powerful impact that will define Scribd’s entry into new markets and verticals. This role will report directly to the VP, Business Development and work closely with the leadership team to drive growth and help position the company to compete more effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities• Develop deep understanding of the ebooks/audiobooks ecosystem and consumer trends to determine how their needs can be met by Scribd.• Source market and competitive intelligence from a wide range of sources, e.g. data on competitor offerings, positioning, catalog and pricing.• Identify, size and help prioritize potential international markets for Scribd to compete in.• Develop and implement framework to gather and structure information into concise findings and recommendations on regular cadence.• Leverage internal data to understand our users and products in depth.• Synthesize information into succinct findings and communicate insights to leadership team, e.g. gaps and opportunities, assessment of Scribd’s competitive differentiation and positioning in any given market.• Stay up to date and informed on the competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities and to help the company compete more effectively.
About You• 3-4 years experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking or Strategy roles.• Experience in the media and tech industry is a plus.• Experience gathering and working with large data sets.• Experience presenting to large groups and executives.• Excellent verbal and written skills, strong interpersonal skills to influence decision making within the organization.• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.Benefits, Perks, and Wellbeing at Scribd
