Minimum Qualifications• Passionate about technology, people and shaping Hopper’s ability to provide effortless customer experiences • Proven success in a consumer product role and experienced in delivering delightful features at scale that drive large swings in key metrics (conversion rate, AOV, LTV, retention) • Relevant customer experience domain expertise (sales enablement, self-service channel strategy) that will allow you to build highly innovative solutions for real world problems aligned with business needs• Strong communication skills to navigate a fast-growing organization across multiple time zones and geographies• Excellent communication skills to construct highly compelling business cases both in-person and in writing• Experience acting as product owner in a scrum team, aligning to deliver with speed, quality, and ownership
Preferred Qualifications• Technical depth to effectively lead conversations with software engineers • Experience with consumer travel technology in a technical, operational, product, or strategic role • Experience with relational databases, Python and SQL to access, organize and analyze data•  Post-secondary degree in computer science, mathematics, business or related field
About the jobWe’re looking for an experienced product manager to own Hopper’s Self-Service, Premium & Shopper support product area in Customer Experience.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Hopper managed to have triple digit year-over-year revenue growth in 2020. In fact, Hopper is recovering faster than the sector and that is driven in part by performance of our unique product lines which offer travellers an unparalleled level of flexibility, control, and service. In 2021, Hopper will extend its burgeoning self-service offerings and expand upon VIP and Shopper support experience for its 60M users. 
Product Managers at Hopper are “smart creatives” who obsess over the customer experience and use data to prove best-in-class experiences. As a Senior Product Manager, you will work at the intersection of software development, data science, and customer experience to solve real world problems that create unique value. You will need to dive deep into the data and develop an understanding of the competitive travel landscape to ground the basis for new product features. On any given day — whether you’re surveying customers to better understand their needs, partnering with product operations or engineering to scope a feature down to the MVP, or combing through data for new insights — your contribution will be critical to Hopper’s current and future success.


  • Manage a product roadmap to deliver a complete and distributable suite of products that add value to pre-and-post purchase user experience and reduce time and effort to support customers, from inception through implementation and performance. Define requirements, establish KPIs, and drive execution
  • Work with business, engineering and service delivery leaders to shape and drive business cases for self service, premium and shopper support, leveraging in-house built and partner integrations 
  • Ideate and wireframe new features and tools that will influence experience for millions of potential travellers around the world and over 1000+ employees 
  • Work in close collaboration with engineers, IT, product operations and data analysts to dive deep into customer data to understand customer behaviours and outcomes 
  • Identify meaningful qualities for each feature and tool: what’s important, what’s not, how can we limit risk and cost? 
  • Use excellent judgement to make trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that everything we build adds value to customers and is extensible

- Based on its current run rate, Hopper is pacing towards 330% revenue growth compared to last year, and it has already surpassed its pre-pandemic revenue peak from Q1 2020 by over 100%.
- Hopper has over 60 million downloads, consistently ranks as one of the most downloaded travel apps, and now has a larger air travel market share in North America than it did before the pandemic (source: MIDT). 
- The company is on track to surpass $1.5 billion in travel sales this year, with 40% coming from the hotel and car rental categories. 
- Hopper’s fintech offerings, such as Price Freeze and Rebooking Guarantee, now represent 50% of its revenue. 
- Given the success of its travel fintech, Hopper recently launched a B2B initiative called Hopper Cloud, where any travel provider can unlock a totally unique revenue stream by seamlessly integrating and offering Hopper’s travel fintech. The industry opportunity for Hopper Cloud is enormous as projections estimate that if all travel distribution channels offered travel fintech, it could increase the total consumer spend for the sector by $200 billion annually.
