We’re looking for someone who is invested in our story and can’t wait to share it.  Our People Experience Specialist is responsible for designing and communicating new policies and procedures, administering all People related systems, and facilitating the training to support these efforts. Additionally, the People Experience Specialist will be the keeper of culture ensuring employee concerns are addressed and company-wide measures are taken to provide a positive working environment.Our People Experience Specialist is responsible for designing new policies and procedures, organizing the communication and access of documents, and facilitating the training to support these efforts. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Compliance to identify gaps in current procedures and processes
  • Design and implement new standard operating procedures (SOPs) to create efficiencies and clarity across the People team and cross-functional groups
  • Proactively update and maintain existing SOPsDocument any new company policies and maintain existing ones (including Employee Handbook)
  • Project manage internal communication plans and applicable training to ensure accurate information is being delivered at the right time to the right people
  • Design and execute engagement programs with the goal of improving the employee experience such as Praisins, exit interview surveys, etc. 
  • Provide support to the People Team regarding policies, procedures, and company-wide programs
  • Project manage “Values-in Action” recognition program including but not limited to collecting nominations from each People Business Partner, facilitating selection process with leadership, and recognizing winners via LinkedIn, Slack, and flyers
  • Partner with the People Experience Manager to create programs that will make our leaders better managers and grow our team’s capabilities

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, including working knowledge of HR services (employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management and recruitment, organizational development, employment law)
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and oral)
  • Must be able to work independently and on a team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or another related field

Details of Position

  • Full-time exempt position reporting to the People Experience Manager

  • Salary Estimate: $63,500-$70,000 annuallyThe estimate displayed represents the typical salary range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates start in the bottom half of the range.

COVID update for on-site employees: All Imperfect Foods employees must be fully vaccinated to be on-site or at company functions. At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.
We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
