Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Sr. Financial Analyst, FP&A will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders of the organization to support various financial and business planning initiatives for assigned business functions by developing meaningful financial forecast models and conducting in-depth financial and business analysis. The incumbent will play a critical role in various ad-hoc projects including FP&A system implementation and rollout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business to perform numerical analysis, process analysis, or create new tools to help business partners drive strategic decision making. This will include but is not limited to: 1.) Improved cost tagging or tracking to enable P&L at product or team level 2.) Business casing to help effectively compare and decide on the correct initiatives.
  • Interface and manage positive working relationships with business partners, including development and presentation of key materials and updates.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecast models to support various financial planning initiatives, including but not limited to monthly forecast, annual budget and long-term strategy planning, for assigned functions.
  • Conduct actu al vs. forecast/budget and previous year(s) financial variance analysis on monthly basis with meaningful commentary to management on its performance and apply the implications to rolling forecast updates.
  • Identify, track, analyze and report on key financial and operational drivers to measure performance against strategic and operational goals.
  • Assist with FP&A system rollout through data sourcing, exploration, cleanup, manipulation and design.
  • Proactively work with peers to continuously improve FP&A team operation efficiency through FP&A tool automation and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with business to improve operation efficiency and to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Other Ad-hoc projects.

Required Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant FP&A or Data Analytics experience, preferably in SAAS industry.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Planning Software and Accounting Systems.
  • Understanding of advanced analysis tools like OLAP, Excel Power Query and Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Dedicated, details oriented and deadline driven.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a roll-up the sleeves work ethic.
  • Flexible, organized, and able to handle multiple and competing priorities.
  • Quick learner with the ability to thrive in high paced environments.
  • Team Player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgements.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner.
