Our Levvel family is growing! Our CloudOps Team is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer Consultant to join our team. As an engineer at Levvel you must be flexible and willing to work worth challenging, complex problems in order to generate strong solutions. Excellent communication skills are key, and you must be able to ask penetrating questions to uncover the root causes of challenges being presented. Our engineers are strong consultants, who are just as comfortable talking through solutions with clients as they are at coding. As an engineer at Levvel, you must value collaboration and working cross functionally to make the greatest impact for our clients and fellow team members. 
In this role, you will work closely with technical leads, fellow developers, our client solutions team, and client stakeholders. You will be part of agile/scrum ceremonies and will work as a contributor within these ceremonies. 
Within three months, you will have ingrained yourself with your project and its goals, while developing strong relationships within and outside of your team.
Within one year, you will have worked across various client and internal Levvel teams to build solutions, whether those be for clients or for internal initiatives. As a seasoned engineer at Levvel, you will have engaged internally to foster and develop your skill sets and invested time in honing new ones. Required Skills:

  • Experience leading a team of Network and Cloud engineers while leading through example to encourage the best outcome for the team
  • Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco CSR’s, Citrix Netscalers, Nginx and Load Balancers
  • Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, Transit Network VPCs, VPC Peering and S2S VPN, IPSEC and SSL connectivity to On-Premise
  • Experience with routing protocols such as MPLS, BGP, IGRP and OSPF
  • Experience in designing and architecting Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud environments at scale Familiarity of CI/CD principles and technologies such as Jenkins and Gitlab CI
  • Familiarity with DevOps tool stack such as Jira, Confluence, Github, Artifactory Experience across one or more of the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation
  • In-depth experience across various platform, network and infrastructure monitoring, alerting and visualization technologies and packet inspection technologies such as Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, TCPDump, WireShark
  • Familiarity with one or more database technologies such as AWS RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL and Oracle
  • Experience architecting solutions that leverage AWS / Azure / Google cloud-native technologies
  • Infrastructure automation / Configuration management platforms (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation / Azure Resource Manager templates)Familiarity with Azure / AWS / GCP Kubernetes services or Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
  • Comfort with scripting in one or more languages such as PHP, Python, shell, Groovy and Golang
  • Experience with various virtualization technologies and Operating systems such as VMware, HyperV, Windows, Linux and Solaris
  • Familiarity with IDS, IPS and vulnerability assessment tools
  • Strong communication and decision making skills.

Educational Qualifications (Must):

  • BA or BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or relevant field


  • Cisco Certified Network Professional or higher
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate  or higher
