Position Summary: 
Reporting to the Manager of Instructional Design/Development, the Instructional Designer/Developer II is responsible for the full end-to-end instructional design process including gathering business requirements, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of PointClickCare customer, partner and staff product training and certification learning needs. Utilizing an advanced knowledge of instructional design and an advanced skill set in authoring and visual design tools, this position is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and deployment of all educational solutions that support the successful adoption of PointClickCare’s products with a primary focus on the clinical solutions. Applying knowledge of software release cycle, go-to-market process, and adult learning principles this role also provides coaching and mentoring to other team members.   Key Responsibilities: ·  Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Project Management, Product, and Customer Care teams to understand business goals, prioritize tasks, negotiate content, communicate timeframes, and to ensure content accuracy and quality·   Use advanced knowledge of adult learning best practices to design, develop, and maintain customer education materials including eLearning courses, virtual and traditional instructor-led facilitator guides and materials, performance support documentation and tools, surveys, knowledge checks, and mastery level tests.·   Independently manage projects through the entire instructional design life cycle from analysis through implementation to complete project deliverables within planned scope, quality, and timelines.·  Lead larger instructional design projects involving multiple team members and stakeholders.·  Align curriculum development projects to PointClickCare’s software release cycle and go-to-market schedule.·  Own and manage the oversight of special education programs such as Academic Alliance and advise and lead on the creation of material used for the internal and partner certification programs.· Ideate and lead new processes and learning strategies that improve curriculum design and development to better meet business outcomes.· Design storyboards, scripts, and other related materials to develop highly engaging and impactful learning solutions.·  Thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain flexible, and adapt to shifting priorities.·   Effectively communicate and collaborate on a virtual team.·   Collaborate with LMS and Certification team members on curriculum placement, additions, and updates.·  Monitor key learning metrics on quality, customer satisfaction, and impact and enhance education for continuous improvement. ·  Coach and mentor team members by providing constructive feedback and giving direction on best practices. ·  Continually build a knowledge base of current and future technology trends, industry standards, and best practices to ensure learning offerings continue to engage all demographics of participants.  Required Experience: ·  University education in instructional design, certificate in instructional design, or equivalent experience· Working knowledge of PointClickCare software or similar healthcare software experience.  Clinical solutions will be the focus area·   Advanced ability to use Articulate Storyline 360 ·  Advanced ability using Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)· Strong experience with, SnagIt, Canva, Smartsheet, Netsuite, JIRA, · A reliable ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, Camtasia, and Articulate Rise·  Advanced understanding of instructional design principles and delivering online education ·  Excellent presentation and communication skills to communicate clearly, both verbally and written·   Self-motivated with excellent organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities·   Excellent time management skills with the ability to work agile and adapt quickly to changing priorities·   Analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills·    Ability to deal with ambiguity and work independently to successfully deliver on departmental goals·   Solid knowledge of software release cycles and the ability to maintain deliverables that align with each release· Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems and standards such as SCORM, AICC, and xAPI  Preferred Experience:  ·       5+ years’ experience in adult learning instructional design and development of interactive, and performance solutions using assorted delivery methods. ·       Well-founded knowledge of Long-Term Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) industry ·       Advanced visual design skills  #Remote #LIRemoteIt is the policy of PointClickCare to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law.
