At BlueCat our core values are the foundation of our culture of fun, we win as a team and value employees who have the courage to act and to make an impact every day.  BlueCat seeks a driven, results-oriented Software Engineer for a 12 month contract.  What you bring to the team:·        Fluent in one language & happy working predominantly in Java along with C++ and Python·        Interest in full stack development, from working with UI, API and business logic to optimizing database transactions·        Versatile development mindset with the ability and desire to pick up different languages, frameworks and techniques with ease·        Interest working with DNS, DHCP and networking·        Interest working with a product that’s deployed on multiple architectures & cloud environments What you are responsible for: ·        Contribute to the development and design of BlueCat’s solutions in an agile team environment·        Write high quality, testable and maintainable code that satisfies customers needs·        Collaborate with other engineers, architects and stakeholders to drive the product forward ·        Participate in product discussions, influence the development roadmap and take ownership and responsibility over projects to make them happen Skills and Experiences Required:·        Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field·        5+ years of solid commercial software development experience ·        Strong software development skills and computer science fundamentals·        Comfortable working with large, complex codebases and understand the challenges around moving them forward BlueCat’s core values are:Curiosity - We care and inquire about the challenges and needs of our customers.Clarity - We keep communication crisp, clear, and responsive.Collaboration - We win with each other, never alone.Transparency - We ensure all relevant information is available – no questions are off limits.Ownership - We are responsible and accountable for getting things done.   What you’ll get from us: Fast growth for BlueCat means fast growth for you!  With the world’s biggest and hottest logos as our clients, we are a well-established business that still operates with the fun culture of a start-up.
