Reporting to the VP Growth & GTM Operations, the AVP Sales & Business Development will be responsible for working closely with sales, partnership development and marketing in the development, implementation and adoption of a world class business development function.
You will be responsible for building, nurturing and reporting on all top of the funnel pipeline activities fed by Marketing (MQLs), Business Development (SQLs) and Partnership Development (PQLs).  As a dynamic leader, you will develop and foster a high-energy, cohesive business development team accountable for demand generation targets across all solutions, market verticals and channels. 
You will work collaboratively within the sales, partnership development, marketing and as well as other departments to develop and implement high impact programs across our key personas, solutions, geographies and market verticals.This position can be remotely based and/or working from one of our offices in North America.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for setting the business development and top of the funnel strategy, building and execution of the plan to meet pipeline targets
  • Build the business development function and lead an experienced team of business development representatives (BDRs) to meet and exceed pipeline targets
  • Work closely with the growth and marketing teams to design, test and iterate on messaging to drive responses and results
  • Drive top of the funnel leads (MQL, SQL and PQL) to qualified opportunity status
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to drive account based marketing programs, nurture campaigns and other strategies to keep League top of mind with prospects
  • Work closely with marketing to design a comprehensive, data-driven demand generation strategy across multiple verticals, market segments, and partner alliances.
  • Build out scalable, repeatable processes supported by the right mix of technology, reporting and infrastructure to support the function.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members on effective demand generation tactics and approaches

About you:

  • Several years (10+) of experience working in sales with a focus and passion for the sales & business development function.
  • Experience working for a PaaS and/or SaaS company with multiple solutions, market verticals and geographies.  
  • Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to build, motivate, coach and lead a business development team to achieve high impact results
  • Experience working in Digital Health across multiple verticals (Payer, Provider, Employer, Consumer Health) is a major plus.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Salesforce to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – must have the ability to analyze and derive meaning from data which you will then translate into actionable changes
  • Excellent writing, communication, time management, and project management skills
  • Experience working with multiple technologies to drive results (eg. Google Suite, SalesForce, SalesLoft, Gong, Troops, LinkedIn, Vidyard, Sendoso and others)
