Under supervision of the Surplus Lines Tax Manager, and within guidelines and authority established by One80 Intermediaries, the Surplus Lines Tax Specialist reviews filing information that was provided with binder & insurance policy, checks tax forms for completeness and accuracy and complies required information to be sent to the required states. This position requires a great deal of organization, communication and multi-tasking.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Printing and Management of individual state reports
  • Entering of required information in various state websites
  • Completes Spreadsheet as needed
  • Provides additional information as required
  • Perform Daily customer service duties incl. but not limited to: Weekly/Monthly State filing reconciliation in conjunction with the Accounting Dept, effectively communicate company standards, mission and submission requirements to brokers

Requirements

  • Results-oriented, self-motivated problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload with little supervision and efficiently make sound business decisions within level of authority, as applicable
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in response to both written and verbal requests
  • PC literate. Basic to intermediate skills with Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and sharp attention to detail. This includes strong documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other staff members and external constituents
