What You’ll Get To DoThe DEI Sr. Manager will work closely with the Diversity & Inclusion team in the implementation of Guidewire’s strategic planning and goals. Reporting to the Global Head of DEI and Culture, the DEI Manager will provide leadership and management support. The role will be responsible for planning, managing, developing and implementing diversity and inclusion programs, initiatives and metrics; and advancing the Firm's diversity and inclusion mission and goals. In a nutshell, you’ll drive the execution on our strategy for improving diversity, equity and inclusion such that DEI embedded in everything we do, and guess what, we’ll have fun along the way!
DEI ResponsibilitiesWork in partnership with the Human Resources team including HR Business Partners, Recruiting, and Total Rewards to support the recruitment, retention, and development of diverse talent, as well as develop DEI focused recruitment tools!Build out and manage execution and rollout of programs, schedules and allocations including providing support for DEI council meetings, overseeing progress, and driving and tracking workstreamsSupport DEI communication and progress sharing, including organization wide updates at all-hands, strategy and progress sharing with council and leads, and collaboration across functions and teamCollaborate with Employee Resource Group (ERGs) on strategy and related activities to maximize engagement, help develop leaders, and attract, develop and retain talentCompile, analyze and maintain internal and external D&I related data and metrics; own and maintain D&I dashboards to assess efficiency and effectiveness of D&I initiatives and strategies
Community Impact & External Partnership ResponsibilitiesSupport external programmatic engagements related to DEI strategy such as sponsorships in close coordination with internal and external partnersStay current on research and standard methodologies relevant to Social Impact/DEI areas and ensure staff are up to date on trends with relevant talking points.
What You’ll Bring
Education & Experience:Master’s degree preferred, track record driving measurable business outcomes through DEI solutionsExperience effectively partnering with HR and business teams to build effective HR or talent programs and strategiesKnowledge of corporate philanthropy/CSR

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program management and/or project management experience, including projects requiring cross-functional team alignment
  • 4+ years of experience with DEI program development, execution and performance monitoring
  • At least 3 years of facilitation, public speaking, presentation experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and/or projects involving cross-functional/team alignment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and think critically across a range of issues and topic areas.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continual learning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across various lines of business and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively around changing deadlines, and flexibility to support other business functions when required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner
  • Ability to develop quick turn-around, practical recommendations based on data and research to inform strategic decisions in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to influence without authority, think proactively, and function independently
  • High level of comfort using data-driven decision making
