eCommerce DirectorThe eCommerce Director manages a portfolio of customers in achieving pre-aligned targets and contractual commitments. They will own the post-launch customer experience and optimize all parts of eCommerce, including traffic, site optimization, and fulfilment. The ideal candidate will have deep eCommerce expertise, experience working in a consulting type role, building a team, and strategic thinking.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Recruit and cultivate a team of talented individuals to drive eCommerce experiences for our customers
  • Build relationships with our customers so that we are a trusted partner who is proactively making recommendations in their best interest
  • Manage the customer relationship including reviewing weekly performance metrics, sharing insights, addressing operational issues, and planning new features
  • Build a P&L and identify the key levers to drive revenue and profitability
  • Work with internal or external marketing teams to drive awareness and traffic through digital marketing including search, display ads, email, etc.
  • Collaboratively plan promotional activities and ensure operational readiness ( functionality, inventory, customer service, etc.)
  • Partner with the Product team to plan features that achieve customer objectives, but provide a KPI and data-driven approach
  • Partner with IT to address operational and performance issues
  • Have ownership of the entire customer relationship and eCommerce experience 
  • Manage escalations, drive root cause analysis and create tickets with IT
  • Strategically identify and drive opportunities that benefit the entire business

We’re Looking For Someone With:

  • 10+ years experience working in eCommerce, in a complex, matrix structured organization
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing or consulting role with frequent interaction with leadership
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Able to build trust with knowledge, data and an ability to deliver
  • Strong business acumen and financial proficiency, analytical and business planning skills 
  • Extensive web analytics skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics
  • Proven ability to interface with business as well as technical teams. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of website technology and development
