Olive Helps is healthcare’s AI‑powered sidekick, making the healthcare ecosystem more efficient. Through a lightweight desktop application, Olive Helps delivers real-time information to healthcare workers, and she drives them directly to the task-specific intelligence they need. Olive Helps healthcare workers get the information they need via Loops in the Loop Library (think apps in an app store). And with more partners creating Loops every day, the impact she can have on our human workforce is endless.


We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead software engineering teams that are changing the way every developer in the country can participate in fixing and improving healthcare. These teams build the Olive Helps marketplace (the Loop Library) including discovery and transactions, “Olive Original” Loops, the Loop Development Kit (our SDK for building on the open Olive Helps platform), and dev tools for our growing developer community. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build and empower teams to create a thriving ecosystem of developers and healthcare professionals that will change the way millions of people experience healthcare.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire and manage teams of software engineers
  • Build a developer platform and marketplace
  • Work across internal engineering teams, partners, and customers
  • Partner closely with product management, compliance, and marketing to align engineering and strategic efforts
  • Actively engage with peers and management in technical strategy and architecture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the software engineering field as a developer or architect
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing software engineering teams
  • Experience building developer platforms and SDKs
  • Experience in designing and delivering applications at scale


Nice-to-haves:

    • Open source development experience
    • Experience building marketplaces
