About Your Role:
As an Instructional Design Specialist, you’ll develop training and instructional content for customers who are new to our products or simply want to optimize their use of them. In this role, you will oversee the design and development of training content. You will provide leadership and oversight for the design, development, and deployment of customer training programs. We are looking for someone with experience in SaaS-based platform training, i.e. someone who has developed learning experiences for users of SaaS applications. You’ll work with our product marketing, product team, CS team, and other customer-focused teams to create materials that will ensure our customers’ early adoption and long-term optimization of Sendoso.

  • To be successful in this role you need to understand the needs of our customers (sales, marketing, and CS teams), and have a passion for improving and scaling processes. 
  • You should be driven to support impactful education and adoption initiatives and want to serve as an active liaison between eLearning and our cross-functional partners. 
  • The ideal candidate is fully versed in adult learning theories and can bridge both strategic thinking and tactical project execution. 
  • We are looking for a focused, agile, and energetic team player. 
  • Deliverables will include on-demand courses, product certifications, and digestible video tutorials.

Your Typical Day:

  • Work with stakeholders to define training requirements and learning goals
  • Create content that will increase product adoption for all relevant audiences
  • Create learning experiences in different formats, using/working within the constraints of different templates and tools
  • Solicit reviews from stakeholders and SMEs
  • Review/edit others’ content for clarity and provide feedback
  • Update and maintain content at frequent intervals (especially during new releases or process/policy changes)
  • Analyze existing content for its instructional value and suggest improvements.
  • Act as liaison to content authors and cross-functional partners in support of continuous delivery of relevant training to our GTM team.
  • Use analytics to track engagement, prepare reports for stakeholders on these metrics, and provide necessary insights to continuously improve our programs.
  • Reporting back metrics on the success of the University to the rest of the business.


  • Knowledge of Instructional Design best practices and demonstrated ability to design learning content that is effective
  • Ability to analyze existing content for its instructional value
  • Ability to communicate abstract or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to identify the best learning delivery formats for a specific set of learning goals
  • Ability to work within predefined style guidelines
  • Attention to design aesthetics and visual detail. Graphic or visual design experience a plus
  • Ability to scope and manage the day-to-day work of projects independently
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with product education and adoption preferred
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories, as well as other relevant psychological theories
  • 4+ years of Instructional Design experience
  • Proficiency in standard design tools; Articulate, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Products, etc.
  • Experience working with LMS systems; SkillJar, Docebo, etc.

Bonus Points If...

  • Sales or CX experience
  • Sales/CX facilitation and education experience
  • Passionate about learning, and in turn, about educating others on that information
  • Experienced and comfortable with fast-paced, high volume startup environments
