The RoleIn this role, you will serve as writer, copy editor, and project manager, helping execute a content strategy that harnesses the company’s internal expertise to drive demand and position Medallia as the experience management leader. The ideal candidate knows thought leadership is more than just a buzzword and is passionate about creating compelling content that educates and inspires defined audiences. You must have a passion for writing, editing and working with others to understand the key messages and stories that will resonate and then be ready to execute those from start to finish.
Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, the Content Marketing Manager will run the daily operations of the corporate blog, working with internal stakeholders to create high-performing content and then cross-functional teams for design, promotion and distribution. This person will edit and write longer form thought leadership content in the form of blogs, ebooks, guides and bylines based on research and interviews with internal subject matter experts. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of grammar, structure, style and the voice of the brand across the corporate blog and core marketing content
  • Partner with subject matter experts to write ebooks, blogs and other thought leadership content for targeted audiences and personas across the buyers’ journey
  • Write, edit, format, schedule and help publish high quality educational blogs
  • Optimize blogs for SEO, including understanding and improving blog taxonomy, meta data, keyword research and other best practices
  • Continually improve blogging best practices and processes with internal and external writers to increase efficiency and drive results
  • Manage the blog calendar and other core projects
  • Have deep knowledge of Medallia content library and focus on repurposing key content to extend value and reach 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of content marketing experience 
  • Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and Wordpress
  • Excellent writer and copy editor

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in journalism, ideally with some time serving as a managing editor or similar capacity
  • Experience in large, fast growing enterprise B2B SaaS company 
  • Experience in customer and employee experience
  • Strong communication skills and at ease collaborating on projects with various stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant practical experience
