Minimum qualifications• Thrived in a consumer product role and experienced in delivering delightful features at scale that drive large swings in key metrics (conversion rate, AOV, LTV, retention)• Experience finding innovative solutions for real-world user problems, aligned with the business needs of a rapidly scaling organization• Experience planning, evaluating, and building products from start to finish• Technical depth to effectively lead conversations with engineers and data scientists• Proficient analytics skills and SQL knowledge to self-serve data questions and draw accurate conclusions to adjust strategy accordingly• Excellent writing skills to construct compelling business cases both in-person and in-writing• No ego. Strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company

About the JobWe’re looking for an experienced product manager to join our internationalization team to support Hopper’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) market expansion.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Hopper managed to have triple digit year-over-year revenue growth in 2020. In fact, Hopper is recovering faster than the sector at large and that is driven in large part by the performance of our unique fintech products which offer travelers an unparalleled level of flexibility and control. In 2021, Hopper will enter APAC, the world’s largest regional travel market to extend the success achieved in the North American Market (NAM) and benefit a larger user group.
Product Managers at Hopper are “smart creatives” who obsess over the customer and use data to prove to create best-in-class experiences. As a Product Manager, you will work at the intersection of software development, data science, and user experience to solve real customer problems and create unique value. You will need to dive deep into the data and develop an understanding of the competitive travel landscape to ground the basis for new product features. On any given day — whether you’re surveying customers to better understand their needs, partnering with engineering to scope a feature down to the MVP, or combing through data for new insights — your contribution will be critical to Hopper’s current and future success.


  • Lead, create and launch product offerings in the air/hotel/car business to deliver the best price, selection, convenience and flexibility through Hopper’s FinTech solutions
  • Manage the product roadmap from inception through implementation — gather requirements, define KPIs, prepare return-on-investment analysis with short- and long-term revenue projections, partner with designers to create best-in-class user experiences, and establish delivery timelines and prioritization with engineering
  • Determine path to launch MVPs get user data and feedback faster, limiting cost and downside risk before making larger time and resource investments
  • Own the product outcomes and track impact to the P&L
  • Drive AB Testing and experimentation of new features, owning analysis of impact
  • Understand and explain complex technical issues, discern impact, and communicate them to maximize clarity and drive resolution
  • Use good judgment to make appropriate trade-offs when scoping and specifying solutions, ensuring that anything we build adds value to the business and continues to delight our users

- Hopper’s valuation is now over $3.5B, reflecting the strength of its mobile-only marketplace and value customers are deriving from the company’s proprietary suite of fintech offerings.
- Based on its current run rate, Hopper is pacing towards 330% revenue growth compared to last year, and it has already surpassed its pre-pandemic revenue peak from Q1 2020 by over 100%.
- Hopper has over 60 million downloads, consistently ranks as one of the most downloaded travel apps, and now has a larger air travel market share in North America than it did before the pandemic (source: MIDT). 
- The company is on track to surpass $1.5 billion in travel sales this year, with 40% coming from the hotel and car rental categories. 
- Hopper’s fintech offerings, such as Price Freeze and Rebooking Guarantee, now represent 50% of its revenue. 
- Given the success of its travel fintech, Hopper recently launched a B2B initiative called Hopper Cloud, where any travel provider can unlock a totally unique revenue stream by seamlessly integrating and offering Hopper’s travel fintech. The industry opportunity for Hopper Cloud is enormous as projections estimate that if all travel distribution channels offered travel fintech, it could increase the total consumer spend for the sector by $200 billion annually.
