About the Job
We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join our growth team to support Hopper’s European market expansion. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Hopper managed to have triple digit year-over-year revenue growth in 2020.. In fact, Hopper is recovering faster than the sector at large and that is driven in large part by the performance of our unique fintech products which offer travelers an unparalleled level of flexibility and control. In 2021, Hopper will enter Europe, one of the largest travel markets.
You’ll be responsible for integrating new connectivities of Hopper’s three pillars which are Air, Hotels and Cars to increase price competitiveness and selection on the European marketplace. We’re looking for a technical product manager with a deep understanding of API’s with the ability to manage connectivity integration from specifications to tests. 
Minimum qualifications
- A college degree and at least 3 years managing the product development lifecycle for technology or ecommerce product- Excellent writing skills to construct compelling business cases and communicate product results to company stakeholders- Highly proficient analytical skills to draw accurate conclusions from data and adjust strategy accordingly - No ego - strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the companyTechnical depth to enable productive collaboration with world-class engineers and data scientists- Obsessive focus on the details in planning, evaluating, and building products- Aptitude to work in a dynamic, high-growth business that operates at a very fast pace- A customer-obsessed focus and positive, team-oriented attitude- Ability to grasp, manage, and articulate complex systems- Excellent judgment and the confidence to make important trade-offs under pressure
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with GDS, CRS, PSS, or other airline and travel industry systems a plus, especially Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus, NDC, ARC, IATA, and BSPs- Ability to grasp, manage, and articulate complex systems- Excellent judgment and the confidence to make important trade-offs under pressure- Excellent written and verbal communication; extremely proficient in presentation writing tools (e.g., Power Point, Slides)- The ability to work with minimal guidance, be proactive and to handle uncertainty, ambiguity and the challenge of quickly evolving goals- Passion for travel and business


  • Collect and generate new product ideas that enhance Hopper’s connectivity capability and value proposition to our customers
  • Manage the end to end product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation
  • Collaborate with engineers and communicate clearly business requirements and user stories
  • Create test plans, dashboards, and analyses to prove the value of incremental work via statistically significant A/B tests
  • Bring new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering
  • Collaborate closely with several technology partners via whom we source fares, inventory and ancillaries
  • Provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term revenue forecasts and product performance reports
  • Partner with internal and external team members to design relevant data schema and coordinate the integration work in the Hopper platform.

- Hopper’s valuation is now over $3.5B, reflecting the strength of its mobile-only marketplace and value customers are deriving from the company’s proprietary suite of fintech offerings.
- Based on its current run rate, Hopper is pacing towards 330% revenue growth compared to last year, and it has already surpassed its pre-pandemic revenue peak from Q1 2020 by over 100%.
- Hopper has over 60 million downloads, consistently ranks as one of the most downloaded travel apps, and now has a larger air travel market share in North America than it did before the pandemic (source: MIDT). 
- The company is on track to surpass $1.5 billion in travel sales this year, with 40% coming from the hotel and car rental categories. 
- Hopper’s fintech offerings, such as Price Freeze and Rebooking Guarantee, now represent 50% of its revenue. 
- Given the success of its travel fintech, Hopper recently launched a B2B initiative called Hopper Cloud, where any travel provider can unlock a totally unique revenue stream by seamlessly integrating and offering Hopper’s travel fintech. The industry opportunity for Hopper Cloud is enormous as projections estimate that if all travel distribution channels offered travel fintech, it could increase the total consumer spend for the sector by $200 billion annually.
