Position Summary: In the next year we are expecting to double the size of our team and 10x our member base, so we're scaling the People & Culture team to match and support this incredible growth. Joining at this exciting stage of our journey, you will be the first People Partner dedicated to the Infrastructure organization (Operations, Legal, Finance, People & Culture) and will be able to make an impact directly with the team as they embark on the fastest and most critical growth stage yet. 
This is a brand new role at League. If you are passionate about the employee experience, motivated by ambiguity, cool with rapid change, big on making an impact, have a figure-it-out attitude and a track record of building effective relationships and being a trusted partner for leaders, this is the role for you. 
You will be stepping into a People Partner role. We'll be looking for you to bring your knowledge of all things people-related and pair it with a deep understanding of our business objectives to form a strong strategic partnership with the leaders and managers you will be supporting.

What you will do:

  • Embed yourself in the Infrastructure teams and get to understand their business objectives, challenges and people needs to eventually become the go-to person for everything People-related
  • Lead the expansion of League into new markets as we go global so we can scale
  • Integrate inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility in all of our programs and processes.
  • Implement transparent career frameworks and career plans for the technical teams that enable Leaguers to build their career at League
  • Dig in with the managers and leads to build their leadership muscles and understand their challenges and empower them to solve some tough problems
  • Partner with the People team Associates, Talent Managers and HR Managers to drive and build the best employee experience and scale our envious culture
  • Support hiring planning by working with managers and the Talent Acquisition team to understand needs, skill gaps and individual development plans
  • Work with managers and leaders on all legal, compliance and employee relations matters
  • Collaborate with managers to drive all areas of performance management, ensuring that our performance, progression and pay processes are fair and enable everyone to do their best work
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the People & Culture team so that our foundational processes are delivered seamlessly and the employee experience is at the forefront of everything we do

About you:

  • Experience in a People role supporting Infrastructure teams (Operations, Legal, Finance, People & Culture)
  • You are deeply passionate about diversity, inclusion and belonging
  • Understanding of the unique people challenges in these teams and how to design, develop and implement solutions to solve those challenges
  • Working knowledge of employment law
  • Ability to build effective and trusting relationships with employees and leaders and know how to influence and empower them
  • Worked in a high-growth company
  • Comfortable navigating the grey and apply a figure-it-out attitude to solve problems
  • Broad experience in areas such as organization design, employee relations, succession planning and talent development
  • You balance the needs of the business with the needs of our people and are comfortable being the one who raises the challenges and helps make the tough calls
  • Role model of our culture and take a culture- first view on every process and interaction
  • Curious and love to learn
