Nabis is a Series B stage licensed cannabis wholesale platform supporting 100+ individual brands and supplying more than 99% of California's dispensaries with top-tier products. Our mission is to help scale the cannabis supply chain with software and ultimately become the largest distributor of cannabis products in the world. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager, Retail who is comfortable operating at the intersection of B2B marketing strategy and product growth. The Head of Growth, Marketplace has the opportunity to help architect the growth marketing foundation at Nabis—they will develop messaging and positioning, create growth campaigns, and most importantly, will build and engage a community of early adopters for our newest product release - the Nabis Marketplace. 
As Head of Growth, Marketplace, your end-goal is to shift the purchasing behaviors of California cannabis retailers so that nearly every delivery made through the Nabis platform stems from a Nabis Marketplace order - this means working directly with buyers to gain insight on what new features will convert retailers to our platform, and collaborating with our brand partners to incentivize reps to make sales through the Nabis platform.
You will act as a mini-CEO of the Marketplace vertical, working closely with our Product, Marketing, Strategy, and Engineering Teams to define KPIs, target customers, and drive adoption. You will also be developing genuine relationships with operators on both sides of the supply chain, retailers and brands, to evangelize the product. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Marketing team to develop the overall brand and messaging of the product to best articulate its value proposition and help shape both the short-term and long-term strategy of Marketplace within the larger Nabis ecosystem.

The Role

  • Build programs and outreach initiatives to drive new user acquisition and churned user reactivation
  • Launch, optimize, and scale paid and unpaid user acquisition campaigns to achieve specific goals for Marketplace growth
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Strategy, serving as an advocate for your Marketplace users while balancing Nabis’ long-term goals
  • Regularly report on product adoption and usage metrics and identify and validate market requirements through data analysis and user feedback
  • Maintain direct relationships with retailers and brand partners using the Marketplace, proactively resolving issues and creating value
  • Partner with the product and business development teams to gain a firm understanding of product functionality and be the voice of the customer in helping to shape the Nabis roadmap
  • Analyze our competitor's offerings to identify potential gaps and contribute to Nabis’s competitive intelligence

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years in product marketing or a product growth focused role , ideally coming from SaaS or B2B ecommerce background
  • Experience crafting, driving, and managing go-to-market strategies across a variety of channels - content, lifecycle marketing, community, etc.
  • Eagerness to jump in and get things done and don't get flustered in a fast-paced, uncertain, and constantly changing environment.
  • Comfort and ease operating with little oversight, being both an executor and strategic thinkerExcellent written and oral communication skills
  • Data-driven approach in measuring success, and experience quantifiably tracking and proving marketing success
