This is an opportunity for a driven Business Operations Analyst who will work on a wide range of projects that support Rackspace’s Elastic Engineering team. You will support the Senior Manager of Elastic Engineering Engagements, and the extended team.


  • Maintaining & reporting on business, resourcing, and financial data, including spreadsheets heavily driven by complex formulas
  • Processing engagement invoicing data
  • Administering engagement delivery tools & processes
  • Facilitating end-user training of tools & processes
  • Collaborating with technical and project management teams, supporting them with customer-facing tasks, and facilitating troubleshooting & resolution of issues and roadblocks
  • Ensuring consistency of project data in a project management system
  • Collaborating with internal resources to develop processes
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements to existing processes, and managing those through to completion
  • Creating & updating documentation
  • Maintaining constant interaction with leaders and colleagues
  • Decisions impact the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and closely related teams
  • May impact other related teams through quality of output and service provided

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or other related discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a technology industry, including minimum 1 year of experience in business or financial operations / project coordination
  • Experience participating in projects through a full lifecycle 
  • Advanced understanding of metrics and reporting
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills


  • Self-starter with results oriented, proactive management approach that focuses on getting the job done
  • A positive attitude with good organizational, decision-making, presentation, verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to learn on the job quickly and work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all management levels

  • Strong planning and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to proactively identify and address potential roadblocks and mitigate risk
  • Advanced understanding of overall financial function and interrelated components
  • Ability to express complex quantitative concepts to non-financial audience
  • Analyzes information, asks questions, and checks for understanding using learned techniques and applying creativity in new situations
  • Ability to comfortably operate in ambiguity
  • Interest in or willingness to take additional training courses to further working knowledge
