Who We Are:
Sendoso is where you go to build something bigger than yourself. We’re a San Francisco-based  Series B company with $54M in venture capital, more than 700+ customers and 15,000 active users, and multiple revenue streams. Our company is on an unprecedented growth trajectory and we’re looking for people who want to do great things.
One of LinkedIn’s Top Startups for 2020, ranked #1 on software review sites like G2, Sendoso helps companies stand out by giving them meaningful, new ways to engage with their buyers and customers. Our award-winning Sending Platform connects online and offline experiences via cloud software, automation, and real-world logistics—a feat that few companies have achieved.
And we believe that relationships matter, so we’re on a mission to create more human connections in a digital world. If you’re ready to seize tremendous opportunity, take ownership, and do meaningful work that moves the needle, you’re in the right place.

About Your Role:
As one of the early full-time UX researchers at Sendoso, you will have the opportunity to help answer fundamental questions like ‘Who are our users?’, ‘What do they need from a sending platform?’, and ‘Where can we serve our users next?’
You will work on product-defining problems about critical parts of the user journey, always with a goal of helping make sending faster, more intuitive and more delightful. You will employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to accomplish our goals, including interviews, usability tests, diary studies, field studies, surveys, A/B tests, and archival research.
You will help set research standards and culture for the whole of Sendoso.
This role is highly strategic and hands-on and will have a tremendous impact on the end-user experience and our company's success. This role reports to the VP of Design.

Who You Are:

  • Desire to help build an essential functional area to ensure the continued success of Sendoso
  • Ability and desire to work with distributed teams

What You Will Work On:

  • Work closely with product, design, marketing, and sales teams to identify research topics
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize urgent research needs
  • Translate broad research topics into discrete, actionable, and well-reasoned study plans
  • Conduct end-to-end independent research by sourcing participants and appropriate tools, preparing studies, analyzing the data, and sharing with stakeholders
  • Persuasively communicate research insights with a range of executives, technical specialists, and generalists
  • Transparently communicate both the strengths AND limitations of research output (scope and quality) to ensure it is leveraged appropriately
  • Coach PM, Design, and Marketing partners to successfully scope and execute common UX research methods such as moderated interviews, card sorting, and surveys when needed
  • Help set up efficient research processes that will scale as our UX research capacity grows
  • Work effectively with remote and geographically distributed teams to deliver research ahead of schedule that exceeds partner expectations

  • MA/PhD in a relevant field (e.g. HCI, psychology, design, sociology, anthropology)
  • 5 + years experience in tech, working directly with PMs, design and engineering
