The Pharmacy or Diagnostics Supply Chain Team - Strategic Vendor Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic direction and management of the Truepill vendors and suppliers. They will work closely with the field-based pharmacy teams and their sourcing Directors plus multiple cross-functional internal departments (Business Development, Operations, Logistics, Finance, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Human Resources) to optimize asset productivity resulting in profitable interactions with customers and sourcing partners.
The role will focus on creating sustainable relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure we are providing the best experience for our clients and customers.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Creates, and implements execution of supplier acquisition aligning with customers strategic plans
  • Aligns success metrics with Customer’s internal business objectives around Operational Effectiveness, Cost Reduction Initiatives, Volume Growth
  • Collaborates with Customers, Suppliers, and the Supply Chain team internal functions
  • Strategic Initiatives resulting in joint supply chain savings and revenue generation
  • Ensures customer and territory-level KPIs and initiatives are on track to budget
  • Manages monthly Scorecard generation to provide full and transparent visibility on Account Health and Supply Chain Value Stream success to both the supplier and internal partners
  • Gains complete knowledge of Customer’s Supply Chain, resulting in identifying and leading additional operational efficiency initiatives and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Communicates needed support and direction to cross-functional teams through Slack, Gmail, Teams, and direct phone calls
  • Demonstrates team collaboration by utilizing necessary resources to drive proactive improvement to account health
  • Manages ad-hoc reports to customer and internal stakeholders to support account management objectives
  • Partners closely with Inventory Management to successfully execute cycle counts and resolve audits in a timely manner. Drive to minimal variances in the assigned area
  • Provides support in some elements of sourcing and directly reports to the sourcing directors to support client onboarding and pharmacy compliance
  • Actively seeks out future commercial opportunities and integrates into strategic and tactical plans
  • Establishes sustainable long term supplier relationships

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent job experience
  • Solid presentation skills, in-person and virtually with experience in Senior Level engagements
  • Strategic thought-leader and demonstrated Innovation Management


  • 2-5 years sourcing experience required including experience managing strategic vendors
  • 2-5 years within or closely interfacing with Supply Chain/Operations
  • Extended work in cross-functional matrix oriented internal structures
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain
  • Leading projects in and successfully navigating and leveraging a matrix organization
  • Strong Personal/Professional relationship building capability
  • Working knowledge of Strategic and Situational Leadership Model
  • Negotiating large complex agreements
  • Innovative value proposition development
  • Strong business acumen and excellent problem-solving skills
