Contract Role. Remote anywhere in the US. 
The Action Network is an exciting sports media business that builds products and creates content to inform and entertain the sports bettor. The sports betting and fantasy sports space is massive ($170bn in the US), growing and underserved from a product and content perspective, and we have the talent, domain expertise and passion to win the space. 
We are looking for a creative, motivated, passionate Casino Writer to join our growing Search team. This person will work to create written content covering online casino news. Action Network is building our library of casino content from the ground up as we look to become a guide for legal online casinos in a growing market.


  • Research and write online casino stories with an emphasis on the top operators in the market (BetMGM, Caesars, etc.)
  • Review online casino operators based on criteria like: number and quality of games, bonus offerings, app performance and more
  • Write copy for publication with conversion to affiliate partners in mind
  • Follow casino and online casino markets to know what players will be interested in reading
  • Optimize existing and new content for SEO purposes


  • 1-2 years of writing about online casino information, gaming and strategy
  • Expert knowledge of online casino games, how to play them and the different websites they can be played on
  • Expert knowledge of iGaming vernacular
  • Expert knowledge of U.S. online casino law in the different U.S. states
  • A willingness to spend time conducting research about different casino operators and translating what you know into informative, unique and reader-friendly articles
  • Ability to write creatively and casually while also incorporating specific SEO best practices
  • Experience with WordPress and similar Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Casual knowledge of sports and fantasy sports


  • This is a fully remote position for the foreseeable future 
  • Reports to Head of Search, on the Product Team
  • Minimum 15 hours a week, more depending on candidate availability
  • Contract role for 3-6 month project
