Wonolo is looking for an HR Generalist who wants to dive in headfirst and help advise on routine and complex employee-facing activities, inquiries, and concerns for the organization. This person will be exposed to the full life-cycle of an employee and should be familiar with onboarding, off-boarding, and everything in-between, including benefits and employment law to tackling employee relations issues. This role will report directly to the VP of People & Culture.

What you'll do:

  • HRIS Management: You will ensure the data integrity of our HRIS system, as well as the file organization and management of employee-related files. Compile reports as necessary.
  • Policies and procedures: You will maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Keep up to date on changing laws and compliance updates that have implications for the organization. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiencies of value-added services performed.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Support the onboarding administration, such as the creation of offer letters, managing background checks, and support the preparation of exit packets for terminating employees.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage day-to-day benefits-related needs such as education of employees, enrollment support for new hires, special enrollments, education and programming around benefits, and more. You will also play a key role in the Open Enrollment process.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support to employees and managers on People Ops related questions

Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience as an HR Generalist, People Operations, or equivalent role
  • You love working with data and systems to craft efficiency, order, and process. You have applied knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • You operate with a sense of service and urgency, while not compromising on attention to detail
  • You can communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the organization and apply problem-solving skills to challenging situations
  • You are self-motivated, structured, accurate, result-driven, ready to improve, and open to change
  • You demonstrate a commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
