The Team and RoleThe Commercial Team supports this mission by working with our colleagues across the organization to close deals at scale.  In addition, we provide solid product and privacy counseling. We are negotiators, with deep knowledge of the law and business, which allows for quick, confident counsel and decision making. We are writers, with a style that expresses complex ideas in straight-forward language.  We are strategic business advisors and work closely with key stakeholders across the organization. We are legal generalists and eager to help our product and engineering teams to navigate the legal environment to build successful products. We are team players, generous to our colleagues and focused on the team victory. Most of all, we are passionate about our work, and we are always looking for opportunities to get better at what we do.This Contracts Specialist position is fully remote and will support our team to close deals and help with contract management and legal operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review, revise and manage a wide variety of legal contracts and agreements.
  • Own legal operations software solutions and other tools, including contract management and project management systems.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date process playbooks and legal procedure documentation.
  • Manage record-keeping for all contracts and related correspondences, including tracking and advising on any non-standard provisions or ongoing obligations. 
  • Project manage various legal team initiatives.
  • Support special legal projects and tasks as required.
  • Identify and scope legal team needs, manage design, rollout and training for new technology tools and systems always striving to improve legal team operational efficiency.
  • Organize the legal team through administrative rigor and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the technology space.
  • Highly collaborative person who supports their colleagues, who champions our mission and wants to win as a team.
  • Good sense of humor and desire to get things done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail oriented.
  • “Get things done” attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently while collaborating on multiple deals, knowing to escalate issues when needed.
  • Confidence operating in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and low ego with a willingness to tackle projects of all sizes and complexity.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, oral and written, is a huge plus.
