This is a fully Remote and Work From Home (WFH) opportunity within the US

As Science 37 expands its global footprint, support for translated and licensed assessments is a critical component of our technology user experience for trial teams. Science 37 currently supports over 40 languages for the platform, with more languages added frequently. The eCOA Instrument Translation and Licensing Manager  is responsible for the day-to-day oversight, coordination and maintenance of a library of copyrighted and licensed assessments in all available languages. The person will be the Science 37 scale management SME for product development and process improvement.

This role will lead cross-functional internal efforts, working closely with Product Managers, Product Design, Clinical Operations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs team and with external business partners as needed to ensure requests are complete, accurately processed, managed and delivered on time and quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expertise and oversight in the development of the eCOA library of instruments in US English
  • Work cross-functionally with technical project management to define priority of translated assessments within library based on market need and Science 37 obligations
  • Build relationships with Authors and Copyright holders of assessment to determine implementation requirements to support library
  • Collaborate with authors to adapt paper-based questionnaires for implementation within Science 37 platform
  • Maintain library and versioning of assessments on a regular basis
  • Determine COAs and provide business plan for development of complex COAs for inclusion in library
  • Create and maintain documentation on eCOA instrument requirements (ie. no implementation for BYOD, tablet only, 6 month licensing window, author approval required, etc.) for distribution and training with Business Development, Professional Services, and Operations
  • Determine and assess new translation vendors and/or review existing ones
  • Establish relationships with primary licensing and Science 37 qualified translation vendors in order to streamline licensing and translation proposal process as well as operational implementation
  • Including defining and documenting processes for screenshot review and author approval processes
  • Understanding proposal and pricing process and work towards collaboration and potentials SLAs for turnaround time
  • Science 37 SME for scale management, which will include following responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to all assigned project members relative to Instrument Services, which may include attending internal KOM for transfer of knowledge
  • Point of contact for scale management questions
  • Provide eCOA specific guidance to clients and colleagues around Instrument services
  • Collaborate and create internal training materials for ops
  • Collaborate with Training to create customer facing training materials for accreditation or use of library


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Project Management experience (min 3 years) in complex environment
  • Excellent computer software skills and electronic tools.
  • Over 2 years experience handling localization, author/copyright and Instrument Management in clinical research
  • Electronic Clinical Outcomes Assessment experience essential
  • Skills/Competencies
  • Knowledge and experience managing translation and localization projects
  • Proven experience in partnering with external vendors
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong communicator
  • Able to rapidly adapt to changing environment and circumstances requiring flexibility, tolerance and sense of urgency

Capabilities

  • Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written), other languages are an advantage
  • Able to analyze situations and needs, and subsequently develop and implement appropriate actions plans
