The Role

Compensation Manager 

Pantheon is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Compensation Manager for a unique opportunity to contribute in building and designing our global compensation framework programs, and practices as we scale. In this role, you will provide consultative, technical, and analytical guidance to stakeholders in the business, Finance, and People Teams. You will work at strategic levels to develop and execute compensation plans. You will research, collect and analyze internal and external data for compensation decision making; implement and administer an annual compensation review process; and serve as a subject matter expert regarding compensation issues.

Cool Things You’ll Do

  • Function as an advisor, point person and subject matter expert for all things related to compensation
  • Help us review and re-evaluate our job leveling structure and competencies and continue to improve our compensation framework to ensure fairness and consistency across the company
  • Design total compensation programs that help attract and retain top talent leveraging competitive market pay and equity
  • Partner closely with Recruiters and People Business Partners on position leveling and relevant market compensation for reqs and offers to ensure both internal and external equity
  • Drive competitive variable sales incentive comp plans in partnership with RevOps, Sales, and Finance
  •  
  • Work with the business to prepare and maintain standardized job descriptions and conduct FLSA and EEO reviews to ensure company compliance
  • Act as the compensation lead in our annual merit and equity cycle planning and process including determining the company merit and incentive budget in partnership with Finance, as well as recommending appropriate comp planning tools
  • Complete benchmark salary surveys and manage our ongoing relationships with survey providers

What you Bring to the Table

As a Compensation Manager you will ensure that we are competitive and equitable in how we reward our employees. You will be responsible for both the strategy of how we approach compensation, as well as the execution of that strategy with managers across the business. You have established yourself as a key advisor to our People Team and our Leadership Team.

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, consulting, or related field in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to present complex models in a simple and clear manner
  • Experience leading presentations to executive teams and company-wide audiences
  • Experience in one or more of the following compensation disciplines: salary and incentive plan design and administration, sales compensation, international compensation, equity compensation, executive pay
  • Experience building compensation systems, managing projects, and scaling processes with company growth
  • Experience with sales comp models at saas companies as well as creating variable models for teams like customer success. 
  • Strong analytical and Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) skills are required to analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models and reports; ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as needed
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Project management experience a plus
