The Financial Planning & Analysis’ primary role is to partner with members of finance and Consumer business management to provide analytical decision support and performance analysis, recommend and implement actions and drive more efficient and profitable results.
This is a key position that will provide guidance on financial and operational matters focusing on Amyris’ Consumer businesses. This role will focus on proactively managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting financial information. The role will also work with various commercial teams to provide decision making support. 


  • Lead annual and long-term financial planning and budgeting process including revenue & gross margins, headcount planning, operating expenses, and operational metrics for Consumer businesses
  • Partner with commercial teams to create a revenue forecast cadence and support the quarterly latest estimate process 
  • Link Commercial leading indicators and Supply Chain actions ensure robust revenue projections
  • Work closely with the Consumer organizations leaders to provide management reporting, interpreting KPI’s to identify risks & opportunities
  • Provide guidance including ensuring alignment of initiatives across all consumer businesses
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Consume Ops organizations
  • Analyze monthly & quarterly financial results to provide insights and recommended actions to management based on data and trends
  • Analysis includes but not limited to sales volume, pricing/program effectiveness, inventory, profitability, channel performance, bring clarity to spend and help drive return on investment
  • Understand commercial strategy and associated metrics to act as liaison between Corporate Finance and Commercialization
  • Support Vice President of FP&A, Corporate Controller, COO and CFO in analysis and presentation of board materials and preparation of materials related to Consumer business for key management meetings
  • Partner and Collaborate with FP&A team, Accounting, IR, and Treasury to ensure successful execution of various Finance Processes 
  • Plan, facilitate and implement ad hoc analysis to support decision making, improve financial performance and evaluate business initiatives. Initiatives may include product launches and business expansions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required 
  • Ten plus years of related work experience, with increasing level of responsibility
  • Proven track record of significant contributions in assisting business growth, preferably in the consumer industry
  • Successful experience in dealing with all levels of management 
  • Accounting/U.S. GAAP knowledge/SOX/Internal Controls
  • Process oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp finance and operations practices and business drivers
  • Advanced financial reporting and planning system and Excel skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change throughout the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interface effectively across all levels within the organization and across functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience working in a high growth environment- preferred
  • Consumer experience with digital and B&M channels- preferred
  • Experience with Netsuite preferred
