Main Purpose of the role:

  • To manage in accordance with Blue Prism Cloud guidelines and best practices multiple projects from inception through the completion. Providing project assurance to stakeholders internally and externally
  • To ensure current and future projects are delivered in line with best practice project management techniques appropriate to the type and scale of projects and delivering the identified business benefit.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Contribution to a consistent and effective approach to portfolio management
  • Establishing a suitable governance framework and portfolio structure in order to deliver the necessary project capability to support delivery of the road map and business objectives
  • Delivering a number of projects, effectively managing their dependencies and aligning resources to support their delivery
  • Providing coaching and guidance to the portfolio team, and building and managing meaningful and supportive relationships across the organization
  • Resource management to include, matrix managed resources
  • Accountable to lead and manage project team across multiple projects
  • Accountable to lead and manage client deliveries, to time, cost and quality and scope
  • Ensure project success criteria is met before project completion
  • Internal and client facing change, risk and issue management
  • Stakeholder management: communication, delivery expectation, reporting, escalation management
  • Responsible for handover to Blue Prism Cloud support and client acceptance
  • Building strategic relationships with our customers

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 year experience in a client facing project/programme/portfolio management role
  • Experience with Matrix managed resources
  • Experience of working with Project Online/Project Server (desirable)
  • Experience of working with Power BI (desirable)

Education:

  • Qualified to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Past or present qualification in project management

Competencies:

  • Strong documentation and communication
  • Strong reporting and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and workload prioritization
  • A proven influencer and communicator with stakeholders at all levels
  • An experienced portfolio manager with a strong background in portfolio assurance, governance and methodology
  • Able to organise and lead a team to achieve objectives and targets
