The Github Go-to-Market team is responsible for bringing together cross-functional teams that participate in the Product-to-Customer journey to partner together via centralized & aligned coordination. This role is an integral part of our Revenue Go-to-Market team.

We’re looking for an experienced program manager to focus on our product and go-to-market processes. As a Technical Revenue Program Manager you will influence the ongoing GTM strategy & provide support for our products, including the program management of going feature and changelog releases to ensure appropriate education & collateral for our cross-functional partners. Our customers on GTM PMO are our GitHub Enablement teams and our Field Sales & Services teams.

Responsibilities

  • Consume, triage and scope the impact of incoming Product releases to our stakeholder teams. Understand our Revenue organization and identify the appropriate information sharing for technical & non-technical audiences.
  • Identify & scope technical needs of other departments within the Revenue organization. Understand and translate our stakeholders technical requirements further upstream in our Business Planning & Product processes.
  • Proactively detect misalignment and assess risk; gain consensus on appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact.
  • Develop and manage detailed release plans that consider the relevant enablement materials and customer collateral required across our Revenue organization and facilitate their timely and efficient execution.
  • You will be responsible for factoring and solving for team constraints, dependencies, and deliverables associated with the defined objectives for any given release.
  • Consistently and proactively identify stakeholder involvement, including identifying and resolving roadblocks and program risks.
  • Exercise excellent judgement with the communication and dissemination of release program status, risks and provide executive summaries.
  • Establish and execute structured stakeholder feedback loop processes across the Revenue organization in order to facilitate input to our Business Planning & Product partners upstream. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Business Operations or similar roles with exposure to the product life cycle
  • Experience in leading complex projects for Revenue, Sales or Customer Success business functions. A solid understanding of the SaaS business model and specifically how a Revenue org functions.
  • Strong technical abilities including experience with developer tools
  • Excellent critical thinking skills that allow you to assess opportunities for process improvement while preserving 
  • Strong business acumen with exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional working groups that span both technical and non-technical
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organization skills
