This position can be based virtually out of New York.

The Physical Security Program Manager (PSPM) supports the Americas Physical Security team within the Americas Loss Prevention organization in launching Amazon Fulfilment and Operations locations throughout the Americas. The PSPM develops and implements physical security controls in accordance with Amazon security frameworks, information security policies and Global Security policy. This exciting opportunity provides the ability to leverage physical security subject matter expertise coupled with project management skills in support of new facility launches and expansions.
You are expected to be industry leading domain experts, relative to your level, in at least one of the core sub-areas of security as defined by the industry-standard Common Body of Knowledge (CBK):
· Physical Access Control Systems, Methodology and applications
· Intruder detection systems, methodology and applications
· Physical Security hardware, methodology and applications
· Security Management Practices
· Security tendering process
· Information Security principals and alignment to Physical Security
· Operational Security
· Physical Security
· Holistic, ergonomic, Health & Safety and end to end project considerations

The Physical Security Program Manager role is driven by frequent interruptions and must be able to respond quickly and exhibit expert judgment under pressure, operating in a rapid, fast-pace environment. Expectations of Physical Security Program Manager typically include: · Leads multiple physical security design and implantation launch projects while proactively managing changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

· Ensures projects are completed within the estimated budget and course correct when needed without jeopardizing the outcome or timeline. · Performs site testing & commissioning functions to validate security integrator work in accordance with Amazon Global Security standards. · Recognizes, adopts, utilizes and teaches best practices in the Physical Security Program Management: development of security frameworks, information security, security operations, security systems, policy, and response.

· Exhibits high capacity and tolerance for context switching and interruptions while remaining productive and able to provide effective, safe and secure guidance.

· Participates in efforts to promote security throughout the Company. · Demonstrates a strong preference for assisting the business with achieving its goals as opposed to saying "no".

· Searches relentlessly for the root cause of problems to understand the broader context.

· Maintains understanding of the security threat environment and how it affects the company.

· Finds flaws in existing company processes and procedures and work with the appropriate stakeholders to get them remediated.

· Understands the current state of the art of security and how they can benefit the company. · Maintains current knowledge and skills to keep up with the rapidly changing threat landscape. · Participates in efforts that create and improve the company’s security policies.

Basic Qualifications

· 4+ years of experience working with Physical Security Principles and/or Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
· 3+ years of experience in analysis of new and cutting edge Physical Security Technology and devices.
· Ability to travel up to 70%

Preferred Qualifications

· PMP and/or ASIS PSP / CPP Certification.
· 4+ years of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) experience.
· Experience in performing physical security assessments of people, processes, and measures, including access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems.
· Demonstrated knowledge of physical security best practices.
· Ability to integrate into an international work environment.
· Proven track record of partnering with geographically dispersed team members.
· Experience and proficiency in public speaking.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
· Experience in briefing and communicating with all levels of management.
· Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
· Ability to handle confidential information with care.
