If so, the AMXL transportation team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to create and execute within the North American (NA) heavy bulky transportation network. This role will work closely with our retail and operations partners across NA in order to effectively manage volume flows, optimize transportation lanes and manage carrier relationships.

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture and televisions into customers’ homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels, we unpack, assemble, install and haul away old items as needed. We are seeking an experienced leader for an exciting opportunity to work within the Transportation Operations team, providing regional support in NA, with the ability to identify, develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the Customer Experience through first time damage-free and on-time delivery to our customers.

The transportation network encompasses all of the operations required to deliver worldwide shipments to and from our fulfillment centers, third party partners and Direct Fulfillment vendors through a network of transportation service providers. Role will have financial ownership and contract management responsibilities along with building customer centric Transportation solutions. This role requires working with multiple business and technical teams across the company to manage operations projects, drive continuous improvement and enhance carrier performance. Must be effective in influencing leadership across retail leadership, customer service operations, technology teams, multiple carrier partners and senior leadership. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
· First mile Carrier Management functions; developing and maintaining box truck and FTL programs with focus on performance metrics, analysis and reporting
· Support launch operations for Vendor pickups sites as AMXL expands across NA
· Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to identify impact of new business initiatives in operations and successfully integrate and deploy them onsite.
· Proactively manage and monitor transportation network to identify, address and prevent potential issues: On time arrival and delivery, vendor related issues, pickup site receiving and line haul delays.
· Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward opportunities
· First Mile Carrier Capacity Management: Develop and manage standards and SLA’s with carriers/vendors through daily management and process improvements
· Delivery Related Customer facing Project Management
· Lane Performance Mgmt. Lane setup from planning to execution; audit and performance manage working across multiple teams (origin, carrier and last mile)
· Daily/Weekly Metrics analysis and reporting with stakeholders
Work Location: Opportunity is available in Multiple Regions (West, Central, South / North East)
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% in a select region

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
· Prior experience in the transportation industry working with Box truck / LTL/FTL carriers.
· Prior experience with transportation management systems.
· Prior experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects and project/ program management.
· Strong communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to convey updates on issues, operational status and business drivers during daily/weekly and leadership reviews.
· Proven analytical and ability to use data to manage metrics, drive improvements, and implement business cases.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
· Prior experience with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
· Proven business judgment to manage financials, manage operations and deliver cost & Customer Experience goals.

Preferred Qualifications

· Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
· Experience in distribution or transportation of high value large items/ heavy bulky products.
· Experience in Cross Dock Transportation Operations
· Demonstrated negotiation skills and management of third-party vendors/carriers.
· Understanding current logistical solutions and developing new products.
· Outstanding customer insight
· Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level. Credible and impactful both with Senior Operational and Business Leaders as well as on the site floor associates.
