We are hiring a Global Director of Sales Development for our fast-growing Business Development Rep (BDR) team. In this highly visible role, you will lead a team of business development representatives who are responsible for both inbound lead processing as well as cold outbound outreach for Enterprise Account Executive teams. This role will have global responsibility over 4 key regions.   
You will define, iterate on, and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. You will think creatively about getting the job done, continuously analyze data & results while building seamless processes to facilitate it all. As a team-oriented management professional, you will collaborate with Sales, Demand Generation, Recruiting, HR, Sales Enablement and Operations teams to develop our people while achieving amazing results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach early-career reps on sales fundamentals and industry-specific knowledge
  • Lead weekly training sessions on topics such as phone etiquette, executive presence, and the latest & greatest Degreed product enhancements 
  • Work closely with Sales Enablement to refine our BDR new-hire onboarding program
  • Identify, document, and build plans to improve individual rep skill sets
  • Mentor individual reps on career growth opportunities
  • Leverage sales intelligence tools to accurately forecast weekly & monthly productivity metrics
  • Monitor daily & weekly productivity goals of all BDR reps
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align activities with company objectives and identify key data to demonstrate progress
  • Utilize our sales operations team to identify areas of improvement and monitor key metrics regularly
  • Audit the current sales development/lead generation process and identify activities and/or technology to drive additional productivity
  • Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation & event marketing activities
  • Build out hiring plan to drive team to full capacity by the end of the year
  • Analyze & improve ideal candidate profiles
  • Build candidate evaluation criteria for interview process
  • Work with talent acquisition on creative ways to target ideal candidates
  • Tackling additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of excelling in a customer-facing management role. During that time, you managed a global program with all the complexities of achieving sales development success in regions across the globe
  • A leader. You love seeing your team succeed and find true value in developing others.
  • Optimistic and Resilient. You know how challenging an SDR’s job is, and you are always that motivating voice to help SDRs reach their goals.
  • Creative. You challenge the way people think and look for better and more efficient ways of doing things.
  • Great Communicator. You are concise and can also explain the intricate details of a complicated system.
  • Curious learner. You are a sponge and learning is fun to you. You ask lots of questions and want to develop your skill-set and knowledge base.
