What will you help us create?

Devices Supply Chain & Operations team is looking for a smart, self-motivated, and highly analytical Business Intelligence Engineer. The role-holder will be responsible for creating robust reporting frameworks to increase visibility into data and enable data driven decision making. He/ she will also be responsible for conducting deep dive analyses to solve complex business problems. This position requires excellent statistical and analytical abilities, good knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate with various teams across the organization. Candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong attention to detail, and able to collaborate with users to understand and transform business problems into requirements and deliverables.


The Role
As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, the potential candidate will support analysis, improvement and creation of metrics and dashboards, and delivery of insights that will guide operational excellence. His/her work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy of our team.
The ideal candidate will:
· Build scalable solutions and self-serve platforms that will provide data, metrics, dashboards, and visualization to inform business decision making.
· Develop a deep understanding of metrics, reporting tools, and data structure in order to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or new tools.
· Successfully bridge analytics and business, via the ability to speak the language of both, enabling analysis of business requirements from management and end-users to define necessary BI architectures and acquisition of data sources to enable holistic analysis to answer key business questions.
· Retrieve and analyze data using SQL and other data management systems.
· Generate ad hoc and monthly recurring operational performance analysis, based on the needs of the stakeholders.
· Create new tools and business processes that simplify, standardize and enable operational excellence.
· Demonstrate ability to manage multiple complex projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation.
· Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.

Basic Qualifications


· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
· 5+ years of experience in data analysis related roles, e.g. data engineering/science, business analytics, business intelligence (BI), or comparable experience in big data environments.
· Strong proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and statistical analysis tool.
· Knowledge of visualization platforms like Tableau, Microstrategy, AWS QuickSight, or equivalent solutions.
· Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby).
· Experience with building and maintain basic data artifacts (e.g. ETL, data models, queries).Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis and RDS.
· Strong written and verbal skills – ability to present thoughts clearly in both verbal and written form to large cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical members and across hierarchy.
· Proven ability to work cross-functionally, building and maintaining trust with internal stakeholders.
· Impeccable product taste and demonstrated success shipping products with great user experiences at scale.
· Good understanding of the development process and best practices (e.g. sprint planning, coding standards, code reviews, testing and validation) with an appreciation for maintaining a high quality bar with low operational overhead.
· Sound business judgment, ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and deliver results.
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering, or an MBA with a quantitative focus.
· Advanced knowledge and expertise with SQL, Linux, Oracle and OLAP and data warehousing concepts. Experience visualizing data in Tableau or other relevant data visualization software.
· Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
· Strong business acumen.
· Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
