We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Product Manager to join the Marketplace team – Spotify’s division that is dedicated to helping artists thrive. Marketplace’s mission is to build tools that help artists and their teams build an audience, monetize their fans, and live off their work. A key focus of that mission is to empower the 1 million+ monthly active artists using Spotify for Artists with self-serve marketing tools.
In this role, you will join a cross-functional product team alongside design, engineering, data science, user research & product marketing to bring insights into Spotify for Artists that help artists build an audience on Spotify. From prototyping & experimentation to launches & iterations, you’ll drive both discovery & delivery of data tools that highlight opportunities for audience growth and demonstrate the impact of actions artists & labels take to connect with listeners. In doing so, you will be on the front lines of bringing Spotify’s two-sided marketplace vision to life.

What you'll do

  • Work as part of a cross-functional product team to create analytics tools that help artists & labels take actions to grow their audience and measure their success on Spotify
  • Take ideas from discovery through to delivery by collaborating with internal partners, learning from artist & label customers, utilizing data insights, running experiments, and understanding the broader artist marketing landscape
  • Develop a product strategy & prioritize opportunity areas based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Define metrics that measure the success of your team’s products, features, and experiments.
  • Collaborate closely with other Product Managers working across Spotify to maximize the impact of your team’s work in achieving our Marketplace vision
  • Partner with Product Marketing to launch new features and iterate on existing products
  • Ensure your team has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt, and providing maintenance and support

Who you are

  • You’re passionate about the opportunity to help artists & their teams find success.
  • You have experience working as a product manager in cross-functional product teams that have shipped products at scale.
  • You have experience working with a wide range of collaborators in a matrixed organization, and understand what it takes to influence and inspire teams.
  • You ideally have worked on a B2B product in an analytics / marketing technology space or would consider yourself an expert user of these tools.
  • You’re a compelling storyteller & writer who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types.
  • You’re curious about your users and driven by solving their problems through technology.
  • You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones.
