The Basics:

In the role of a Tanium Marketing Development Representative (MDR), you will be the first line of contact at Tanium responsible for managing and qualifying inbound leads, known as AQLs, using all communication mediums available. You will manage and respond to contact requests, leads generated from the website as well as leads from marketing campaigns,  from both prospects and existing customers, all within stringent SLAs. The MDR would be responsible for qualification and, where necessary, conduct research into the personas and/or accounts linked to inbound leads. The ideal outcome for Tanium is for a meeting to be arranged, known as a Sales Accepted Lead (SAL). between the prospect, or customer, and the appropriate Tanium field sales team.   The MDR would be familiar with the Tanium platform and all associated modules as well as our account segmentation so as to correctly hand over SALs to the appropriate team.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all incoming Automated Qualified Leads (AQLs) moving them through the lead funnel 
  • Use phone, email and social media contact mediums to qualify as to the potential need for Tanium solution offerings 
  • Achieve and maintain conversion rates in line with Tanium best practice benchmarks
  • Take inbound phone calls, respond to live chats and assess the prospect or customers needs to the Tanium solution
  • Consistently meet response times (SLAs) relating to the lead funnel
  • Use class-leading tools including Sales Navigator and Zoominfo to verify information at both contact and account levels, completing any lead information gaps that may exist 
  • Be instrumental in driving prospect and/or customer attendance to Tanium events
  • Support Marketing efforts by creating personalized email campaigns targeted at curated prospect lists 
  • Work closely with the Business Development Representatives and the Sales Development Representatives to learn more about the Tanium platform, associated modules along with sales a business development practices
  • Build and maintain extensive knowledge of how Tanium solves visibility, control and business resilience management issues
  • Begin a systematic career path journey where you will learn, grow and take on new challenges
  • Learn a disciplined, programmatic approach to campaign-based pipeline generation and marketing sales-ready lead qualification

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience
    • Ambitious with a strong drive to succeed in sales
    • Coachable, hardworking and able to learn quickly
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
    • CRM experience preferred
