Director of Growth Marketing - Paid Acquisition / Paid Search
Remote - Austin, Texas, United States
LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand platform for lawn care and landscaping services, and our vision is to be one-stop shop for all outdoor home services.
We're growing rapidly, and currently looking for a Director of Paid Acquisition to help take our growth to the next level.
If you thrive in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment and love the intersection of data and digital marketing, read on.
What you'll be responsible for
Growing Revenue from Paid Search: This is the big one. Leveraging all the tools that Google gives you, from bid optimization, to copy tests, to audience-based rules. And pairing that with internal customer cohort data to maximize ROAS.
Analyzing Data for Insights: Do lifetime values differ by keyword? How about conversion rates by market, or time of day?
Building Tools and Systems: We take a technical approach to most things, so we'll expect you to quarterback projects that make things easier. Whether it's building a system to better test ad copy, or working with engineering to integrate the ad platforms with our internal data, that'll be in your wheelhouse.
Exploring New Channels: From the traditional to non-traditional, we're always experimenting with new things. We expect you to ideate, test, and iterate to discover new channels that provide a positive ROI.
Owning the P&L for Ad Spend: This is an integral part of the business, and you'll be in charge of all of it. We expect you to own both the revenue and cost side of paid acquisition, and to be able to prepare a 3 year, 1 year and quarterly plans.
Experience With Large Scale Paid Search Campaigns: This ain't a small business campaign that can be managed with a spreadsheet. We're offering a multitude of services across hundreds of markets, each with its own seasonality, pricing, demographics and other nuances. You must know how to manage Adwords at scale. Ideally you have a background in this form of SEM in an area such as travel, jobs, home services or ticketing.
Strong Technical Chops & Business Intuition: You should be able to write SQL in your sleep, and be comfortable writing Python (or other acceptable scripting languages). Additionally, you should be able to pair complex data analysis with business intuition and be able to communicate key insights to company leadership.
Willingness to Get Your Hands Dirty: This is a pretty senior role within the company. It's also individual contributor role. If you'd prefer to manage people vs getting hands on, it's probably not a great fit.
We offer great pay, employee equity, and competitive health / vision / dental plans. We're also open to remote for this role
But the real benefit of this role is you'll be playing a big part in LawnStarter's growth and in accomplishing our mission.
