Manager of Program Managers - People Systems

We are looking for a leader of Program Managers for the People Systems team. If you are a candidate that has the vision of what could be, who has the ability to cultivate relationships, and a belief in developing the skills and talents of others, then you may be the ideal person for this position.

As the manager of Stripe’s People Systems Program Management team, you will lead the team that provides the corporate tooling and services in the People Systems space to enable the team to successfully deliver leading edge solutions to enable Stripe to scale. 

 

You will:

  • Build and develop a healthy, high-performing program management team responsible for establishing the process and technology necessary to People Systems used daily by Stripes
  • Collaborate with technical leadership to create a product strategy and roadmap that enables People Systems to support Stripe's growth
  • Develop productive, collaborative cross-functional relationships with various groups including key stakeholders, product consumers and providers
  • Report and maintain product and success metrics focused on continual improvement
  • Ruthlessly prioritize workload against available resources and level of impact
  • Implement a clear decision, prioritization and communication framework to drive efficiencies
  • Continuously examine, experiment, and measure improvements to our operational model and processes (e.g. automating tasks, improving workflows, developing repeatable methodologies)

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years business systems experience
  • 5+ years of managing teams
  • A passion for enabling people to do their best work by leading with empathy and compassion
  • A history of success as seen both in the projects they’ve launched and the talent they’ve supported
  • Experience with HRIS Systems, ATS Systems, CSM systems, and People Analytics tools
  • A collaborative approach to getting work done
  • Experience instituting best practices in all aspects of program management
  • Demonstrated team building skills – be able to bring people together, hire, develop and motivate team members; create appropriately challenging projects for team members; and instill a high sense of pride in the team’s accomplishments
  • Must be able to effectively hold other departments accountable while maintaining good working relations with them
  • Forward-thinking strategist with proven success in translating strategy to tactical plans with high-quality execution and delivery
  • A healthy skepticism for the status quo and an unwillingness to settle
