Do you like helping customers and partners solve tough technical problems? Are you an Oracle database expert who gets excited about using the latest cloud computing technologies?

As a Solutions Architect focused on Oracle technologies within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help customers and partners migrate their databases to the AWS platform. Your broad responsibilities will include directly working with customers to architect their mission-critical workloads, partnering with account teams to identify opportunities, and be an active contributor to AWS’ technical community through thought leadership and mentorship.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical experience with at least one commercial database and one open-source database, along with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies. Our Solutions Architects must also be a strong listeners, effective communicators, and adaptive problem solvers.

This candidate should also have a track record of thinking strategically about the business, product, and technical challenges to help us better serve our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Drive customer success with databases, and related technologies, on the AWS platform.
· Lead or support technical engagements with customers and partners globally.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing database solutions on AWS with internal and external database communities.

Basic Qualifications

· 7-15 years of implementation/consulting experience in the software or internet industries.
· 4+ years of experience with a commonly available commercial or open-source database engine.
· 1 or more years' experience migrating a database workload.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting database solutions on AWS.
· Demonstrated understanding of how to apply AWS' Well Architected Framework.
· AWS Solutions Architecture Certification(s)
