Internal Communications & Community ManagerAs a member of the People Operations department, your role is to facilitate the access of company information and knowledge to our worldwide team of managers, administrators, and Mods. The Internal Communications & Community Manager supports our internal communities’ interactions, sharing, and visibility by owning, crafting, delivering, and maintaining engaging content via multiple channels, including virtual events. You will need to have superb writing and editing skills, excel at prioritizing workload, have strong attention to detail, and be comfortable working on a deadline. You’ll nurture a collaborative mindset across the company’s worldwide workforce by:Being the master communicator, content creator, and editor; you can strike the right tone with any audience and are able to help others craft, refine and express their messages convincingly. What you will do:

  • Manage and execute internal communications and foster the most unique community in the world, the people of ModSquad!
  • Drive and produce the internal communications and community event strategy 
  • Produce original and engaging content like blog articles, videos, digital events to promote and share internal knowledge and cover key trends and topics
  • Support internal partners in the definition and execution of internal communications and community strategies, from editorial vision to content production
  • Manage communication campaigns, including project plans, schedules, task lists, status reports, and deliverables.
  • Work with internal partners and a network of contributors to ensure an efficient spreading of information and knowledge within the company
  • Manage and execute the design and content of a variety of our HR communications vehicles, including but not limited to our internal websites, company newsletters and magazines, email campaigns, and in-person events and celebrations.
  • Meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain a strong attention to detail to meet organizational objectives and quality measures.
  • Working with other departments to facilitate and execute communication processes and cadence
  • Lead social media communications that promote one-way and two-way dialogue as it relates to our internal communication strategy
  • Strategizing ways to scale the ModSquad community, connect with new people, and provide recommendations for tailored internal community-based communications
  • Report growth and goal-oriented KPIs using analytics and measurement tools by project, weekly, monthly, and quarterly

Who you are:

  • A person who understands personality, with a clever sense of humor and love for quirkiness, always looking for trails that have yet to be blazed
  • Someone with a proven track record of building and executing a multi-channel communication management strategy
  • 7+ years of experience in internal communication ideally within the video game, digital media, the tech sector
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Possess relevant academic degree (communication, information science, journalism, etc.)
  • Experience and expertise in video shooting, editing, and streaming (Premiere, AfterEffect, OBS, XSplit, Mixer, Twitch, YouTube)
  • Comfortable working on a remote team as the primary communications and community developer dedicated to ModSquad. This role requires close collaboration with Marketing and the Social Media team on content frameworks and messaging
  • Creative, experimental, and always thinking about ways to enhance our community communications; you can point to something and say “Yep, I did that” with pride
  • A track record of thinking about the big picture to ensure everything we do has a purpose and is aligned with the overall company and people strategy
  • Driven to see a project/idea soup to nuts
