Job summary
Are you a Windows Server guru, SQL Server master or enjoy building in PowerShell or .NET? We’re looking for a passionate problem solver with Microsoft infrastructure or application development skillsets to help AWS customers architect innovative solutions on AWS. Based on your unique skillset, you will be considered for roles within the Microsoft on AWS Specialist Organization across the United States to join our teams across our various business groups.

As a Solutions Architect for the Microsoft on AWS Specialist Organization, you will partner with Sales, Professional Services, and other AWS teams to design flexible, scalable and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business problems. Another important function of the Solutions Architect role is collaborating with AWS Service Teams, providing critical customer feedback to build the next generation of Microsoft on AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the Microsoft on AWS technical pre-sales engagements; engaging with customer’s executive decision makers; helping customers migrate, optimize and modernize their Microsoft infrastructure and applications. The Microsoft on AWS Solutions Architect also provides Thought Leadership in the form of speaking at public events, publishing technical content (blogs, videos, white papers) and sharing your deep expertise in Microsoft on AWS services with customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures
  • 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technical studies or equivalent related job experience
  • 4+ years experience Solutioning and Architecting Windows infrastructure, SQL database architecture, or .NET software development in public, private or hybrid clouds
  • 2+ years of decision-maker engagement such as pre-sales or consulting

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS and/or Microsoft certifications
  • Knowledge of cloud services, cloud native design and/or cloud implementation experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Datacenter migration(s), Networking, Compute, Active Directory, Containers, Storage, Security
  • Knowledge of Microsoft licensing
