State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$73,127 to $135,360 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$66,479 to $123,055 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$59,831 to $110,749 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Position Summary:The Software Developer Analyst I (SDA I) is responsible for assisting in researching and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assist in preparing Detailed Specifications or Design from which programs will be written. Code/configure, unit test, debug, document, and maintain medium complexity software applications, in an environment that continuously introduces leading-edge technologies. The Software Developer Analyst I will operate adhering to Mercury standards, processes and methodologies and may require guidance or supervision in most phases of their work. This position requires sufficient educational background and/or experience to analyze, design and develop or modify application programs from detailed specifications using the technology stack used at Mercury. SDA I will primarily work as part of a collaborative team in a matrixed organization structure at Mercury facilities, utilizing company-issued equipment.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Research, Design and Prepare Detailed Functional Specifications.
- Responsible to Code/Configure and unit test functionality as per detailed functional specifications as per established Standards.
- Debug Reported Production Issues and Implement identified Fixes.
- Other functions that may be assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- 4-year College Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields with specific emphasis on database design, object oriented programming concepts, software design and development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years Experience related to Software Development.
- Must have at least 2 years experience in one or more technologies and methodologies used at Mercury.
- Experience in preparing detailed functional specifications preferred
Preferred Experience:
- 2 or more years of programming experience with Java.
- In-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot for building microservices and REST APIs.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of RESTful principles, status codes, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB (NoSQL database) for storing and retrieving data.
- Proficiency in writing unit tests using JUnit or other testing frameworks.
- Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and automated builds.
