IFP & Small Group Agile Product Owner Sr. Advisor, Salesforce - Remote - Cigna Healthcare

In support of Individual Family Plans (IFP) & Small Group Sales Operations group, the Agile Product Management Sr. Advisor Salesforce serves as the internal voice of the customer for all things related to our IFP & Small Group Salesforce instance. This individual is responsible for collaborating with our user community and leadership to define the scope of work to be completed and to help set the path of our IFP Salesforce solution. In this role, it will be critical to understand integrations with other systems and to collaborate closely with other product owners from business and technology as well as our portfolio team to proactively manage risks and dependencies. The incumbent exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering Salesforce initiatives and works closely as a Salesforce Admin and collaborator with our IT team responsible for Salesforce support. They will use deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders and are recognized internally as “the go-to person” for complex assignments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Understand key business objectives and strategy of the product(s) they support, especially related to IFP Salesforce and inbound/outbound integration workflow.
  • Ensures our future solutions on Salesforce are managed where appropriate with clicks, not code.
  • Work with business owners and technical leaders to ensure that they are engaged and supportive of direction.
  • Work with the engineering leads to refine technical roadmap strategies and establish business value, make data-driven decisions, and prioritize features and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering leads, Architects, Operations, Product Managers, Product Owners and business counterparts to ensure their prioritization is reflected in the team’s backlog and aligned with business goals.
  • Has final decision-making authority on acceptance criteria for product functions.
  • Maintain and refine the inflow of work to the team (product backlog).
  • Assist the team with decomposing features into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Assess business value and prioritizes Program Epics, Features and Stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that align with strategy.
  • Ensures Program Epics and Features clearly communicate customer/stakeholder needs and works with Product Owners/ Agile team to clarify stories as necessary.
  • Understand and support inter-team dependencies and escalates prioritization issues when necessary.
  • Attend team and program ceremonies (e.g. Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, PI Planning, Demos).
  • Work with team members to ensure products are working in production.
  • Support on-going marketing campaign efforts and lead management workflow.
  • Manage aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules.
  • Deliver medium sized Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports.
  • Identify unused or underutilized platform features.
  • Own the communication of any platform changes to end users and stakeholders.
  • Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
  • Collaborate with the extended team to create and maintain business processes documentation for Salesforce processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery and experience working in Agile development methodology using tools like JIRA, Rally etc.
    • Agile certification (i.e. SAFe Product Manager / Product Owner) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with B2C and B2B health insurance sales operations and supporting sales digital, IT and telephony technology.
  • Experience with Sales and Service cloud, including Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Exemplifies teamwork and serves as a role model and servant leader to the team.
  • Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels.
  • Aptitude for gaining deep knowledge of the industry and business and proactively using this knowledge to deliver meaningful results.
  • Ability to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Creative thinker with ability to think outside the box and translate ideas into actions; ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • DevOps/release management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications
  • Experience working with Broker Relations functions including commissions, technology access, and process support.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,000 - 188,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
