This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Group Product manager, leading our Product team in the Contractors vertical. You'll have a massive impact on our organization and will help create opportunities for millions of people around the world.
As a Group Product Manager at Remote, you'll be developing and guiding our strategy for one of our key product areas as a player-coach. You'll advance this vision by working with a cross-functional engineering and design group to find our most important problems and shape iterative solutions towards them.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a product manager, ideally at a high-growth company
- Leadership and/or mentorship experience: you've made significant progress on objectives through guiding the contributions of others
- Great judgment making both strategic (what to prioritize) and tactical (feature scope) decisions
- Driven demonstrable results by moving a product in the right direction with minimal guidance
- A strong, detail-oriented sense of design and UX

- Outstanding written communication and collaboration skills, leading to fast progress and decision making
- Comfortable and skilled at gaining traction with a variety of audiences, both internal stakeholders to external customers
- Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus
Key responsibilities
- Own Remote's product strategy in a key area, end-to-end. Includes identifying the right problem, making thoughtful product decisions en route to a solution, communicating it across the organization, and sharing results.
- Demonstrate great product decisions and champion your product area with strong attention to detail.
- Set clear go-to-market strategies in partnership with product marketing.
- Create a high-achieving team by directly managing or influencing Remote colleagues in engineering, design, product, operations, and other departments.
- Act as a mentor (either formally or informally) to other members in the Product department. Coaches on hard and soft skills. Creates a safe, comfortable environment that facilitates open and transparent communication to promote teammate happiness.
