JOB DESCRIPTION:
As the Global Microsoft Alliances and GTM Director , you will be entrusted with managing Commvault’s Hyperscaler relationship with Microsoft focusing on all aspects of the relationship, both technical and go-to-market. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and cultivating this strategic partnership, assessing opportunities for co-innovation, and ensuring that joint initiatives align seamlessly with our mutual go-to-market strategies.
The role is a leadership position and will have CEO visibility within Commvault and senior-level executive engagement at Microsoft. This person will be adept at aligning technology solutions, creating GTM plans, and compiling the business plan to support it. The measure of success will be tied to successful joint roadmap definition and execution bringing innovative offerings to market, revenue growth, and time to revenue for new offerings.
What you’ll do…
Expand, cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key collaborators at the Microsoft, including partner managers, solution architects, and executive leadership.
Identify, negotiate, and establish new partnership agreements that align with the strategic goals of Microsoft.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive strategy for improving the partnership with the Microsoft peer teams.
Plan and implement product launches in partnership with the Microsoft, leveraging CVLT Product organization
Ensure messaging is set for Microsoft employees and mutual Microsoft customer personas,
Drive co-innovation initiatives by identifying areas of mutual interest and demonstrating the capabilities of both organizations.
Regularly assess and report on the performance of the partnership, highlighting areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
Build new programs, sales plays, enablement plans and help drive ongoing efforts to ensure success in the key partnership metrics.
Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in the Microsoft ecosystem.
Who you are…
Have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Proven experience in managing global partnerships with Microsoft.
Solid understanding of Microsoft products and service offerings to show the depth of engagement in the past.
Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
Strategic problem solver with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Analytical and data-driven attitude for monitoring and improving partnership performance.
Willingness to travel as required.
