The Opportunity

Join the team shaping the future of the UK’s energy sector at Hinkley Point C (HPC), the country’s first next-generation nuclear power station. This high-profile, complex project is delivered by a dynamic, multi-disciplinary organisation.

We are recruiting a Cross Functional Delivery Engineer to be part of the Commissioning Cross-Functional Delivery Team. In this role, you will play a key part in both the Commissioning Preparation Phase and the Commissioning Delivery Phase, contributing to the successful delivery of this critical project.

What you’ll be doing

As a Cross Functional Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the Commissioning Integrated Management System, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed effectively.

You will coordinate and record meetings with key stakeholders, providing essential support to the Commissioning Manager and ensuring seamless communication across teams. A key part of your role will involve identifying and leading transverse topics across the Commissioning Delivery Teams, driving efficiency and collaboration.

You will interface with the Responsible Designer, ensuring that all required documentation is produced to meet project standards and expectations. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations will be a fundamental aspect of your responsibilities, helping to uphold industry and legal requirements.

You will oversee the production of Commissioning Plans, ensuring clear and structured documentation for project execution. Additionally, you will be involved in the training of Commissioning Delivery Personnel, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for successful project delivery.
 

Who you are

You will hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, along with a strong technical background in an engineering-related field.

Experience in technical authoring and process development is essential, as you will be responsible for producing and refining key documentation to support the commissioning process. You will have the ability to influence and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams. Strong coordination skills are also important, as you will be required to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Experience working within a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and statutory requirements. While not essential, experience in the nuclear industry would be highly beneficial. A strong commercial awareness and familiarity with contractual and financial aspects of projects would also be advantageous.

Additional skills, such as French language proficiency and membership in a professional body, are desirable and would further enhance your suitability for the role.
